Bk Review! Daughter of Mine
Life generally goes on day-to-day with little changes or upsets. You know what you have to do and you do it. You know your job, the people in your life and what you are to them.
What would you do if the most important truth in your life, the one you held the dearest and the most secure about:turned out not to be true?
Twenty-seven year old Tiziana Manoretti is told of a family secret that shatters her world and sends her to Italy to find out who she really is.
She began a journey of discovery about herself, her family and the secret she finally discovers is shocking, but turns her idealistic world into reality. Her family becomes stronger for it, and she discovers a whole new part of herself in Italy.
Of course, as all good books do, this book has a love angle. Christopher, tiziana's best friend turns out to be more the a friend. But both, are cautious of their feelings and he keeps sending mixed messages that confuse her life even more. ...and who is the mysterious man she meets in Italy? It would seem he holds some secrets as well, but is his biggest secret one of love?
Laura Fabiani takes a fresh approach in writing the story of a women's life and rebuilding it with determined move into the future. I like female heroines that are strong and capable. When the book started, I was afraid she was going to be a weak heroine but was presently surprised when she stood up for herself and went on her way to get he answers she wanted.
Her descriptions of Italy, makes you feel as if you are there, she makes it easy to visualize the country. The characters are believable and you are able to form a relationship. I found myself cheering her on as she made her journey. As soon as I was sure I had the book figured out, I found out I didn't.
This is a great read. I highly recommended it to everyone. It captured me to the point I read it in one night, and missed my favorite show because I was at a critical place and wanted to see what happens.

Dear Somebody Thursday!
I have been MIA, with busines and the like but I am getting back in the groove! So....
Dear Ky Intense Jell
IO hate your commercials. I hate the implication that the rest of us cannot have any fun with spending boocoos of money on your product. the reality is, we can.
I mostly hate trying to explain to my 4 year old granddaughter why the women hops ou of bed and stands next to a waterfall. Next time I am calling your hotline and letting you explain.

Dear Natasha
Nanny is sorry when you mixed all of your paints together you came up with a sickening green colour instead of black as Uncle Eric promised. Why did it happen? Cheap paint, sweetie. We are poor and have to shop Wal Mart. Maybe when you grow up and become the first women president of the United States, you can afford Michaels. We won't be able to. We will be living in the poor house from paying for your college education.
Your loving Nanny
Dear Mailman:
Can you Please please decide what time you are going to deliver my mail? I am tired of watching you deliver my mail for three weeks at eleven am then the day I am expecting something you come at 5pm. Since very soon you will not be working on Saturdays, at least lets get the times sraight. BTW I have to work Saturdays, what ever happened to "neither rain nor sleet.... Bad Mailman!

Beautiful Thinga Happen
Today is my youngest daughters birthday. It should be a happy dy, but it isn't. It isn't because we are celebrating her birthday here, she is celebrating with Jesus.
It took me a minute to remember God was in control, and although this is the worst thing to happen to me, being in heaven has to be the best thing for her.
Sheila Walsh's book put me in perspective about a lot of things, mostly how to remember to trust God.
Did you ever question God’s ability to catch you when you fail? Do Shame, fear and brokeness keep you from fully trusting God. Do you secretly believe your dreams are unreachable? You are not alone.
And so starts the Journey of Sheila Walsh
, sharing how she battled her way from depression with faith and love for her Lord.
Sheila shares some very personal experiences of her life in Darkness and light, and how she overcame.
Then shows us through the teaching of Tabitha, David, Paul and others who teach us that in spite of overwhelming
circumstances just one trusting encounter with Christ puts beautiful things in motion. And as she does this she draws a parallel between her life and theirs. I have never personally compared my life to a Biblical character and myself, but the way she did it brought a new revelation in how the Bible affects us. So often we read it as a third person instead of God giving us examples of our own lives.
When I walked away with this new revelation, it gave me a much more personal and closer feeling to the Characters in the Bible.
The book itself is masterfully written, with personal insight and compassion. I could feel her pain and triumph.
I recommend this book highly to everyone who has ever suffered the darkness, whether you are going through it or are have come out, damaged. It is a reminder of the one who is in control.
It is the story of our lives, and how He has promised us we will overcome. Sheila shows us He is worthy of the trust we put in Him. He is definitely in control.
